Job Summary

We're seeking a motivated and reliable Orchard Operator to join our team at Loxton North. Reporting to the Orchard Manager, you'll play an important role in the day-to-day operation of the orchard, including tractor work, irrigation, spraying support and general orchard maintenance. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in producing high-quality fruit.

About the Role

Reporting to the Orchard Manager, your responsibilities will include:

- Operating tractors and a range of orchard machinery safely and efficiently.

- Monitoring and managing irrigation systems.

- Assisting with spray operations and other seasonal orchard activities.

- Pruning, thinning and general orchard maintenance.

- Assisting with harvest operations when required.

- Supporting and assisting contractors working on-site.

- Maintaining equipment and reporting maintenance requirements.

- Following all workplace health and safety procedures.

Skills & Experience





To be successful you'll ideally have:

- Experience operating tractors or agricultural machinery.

- Experience in horticulture, farming or agriculture (preferred).

- A current driver's licence.

- Chemical user's accreditation (desirable but not essential).

- Valuable mechanical aptitude.

- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.

- Good communication skills and willingness to be part of a team.
