The Lucas Group is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth for an established agricultural and horticultural technology business specialising in irrigation control systems.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded irrigation qualified who enjoys building relationships, developing new markets and helping growers get more from their irrigation systems.

Based in Adelaide (or remotely by agreement), you'll have the autonomy to grow an established product range, supported by an experienced team and international technology partners.

About the Role
You'll lead business development for a computerised irrigation control range across Australia and New Zealand, working with distributors, irrigation consultants, growers and commercial customers working across turf, agriculture, horticulture and home garden sectors.

Key Responsibilities

- Drive sales growth across Australia and New Zealand.
- Develop new markets and business opportunities.
- Provide technical advice on irrigation control systems and software.
- Support irrigation design, project scoping and implementation.
- Deliver product demonstrations and technical training.
- Build relationships with channel partners, dealers, growers, consultants and other industry partners.
- Represent the business at industry events and conferences.
- Develop sales plans and achieve agreed targets.

About You





- Proven experience in sales and business development.
- Practical experience with irrigation control systems and software.
- Sound knowledge of irrigation design and system operation.
- Experience providing technical support and troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated customer/distributor relationship management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a diverse territory.
- Willingness to travel as required.
