Got the skills, and love the outdoors even more?

Gippsland RV & Marine is a locally owned, family-run dealership in Bairnsdale, and we’re looking for an experienced Service Technician to join our workshop team.

We’re the East Gippsland home of Current Age Caravans, Traveller Caravans, Bar Crusher and Quintrex boats, and Yamaha outboards. That means variety: one day you’re servicing a family’s first caravan, the next you’re getting a fishing rig ready for the Lakes. If you like a job where no two days are the same, you’ll fit right in.

What you’ll be doing

- Scheduled and unscheduled servicing and repairs on caravans, campers, boats and trailers

- Pre-delivery checks so every customer drives away with something ready for adventure

- Diagnosing problems and working out practical, lasting fixes

- Talking with customers and the team so everyone knows where a job is at

- Keeping a clean, safe, organised workspace

What you’ll bring

- A trade qualification (automotive, light vehicle, heavy vehicle, marine, auto electrical or similar), or at least 2–3 years’ hands-on mechanical experience

- The ability to diagnose and work independently on servicing and repairs

- Pride in your work and an eye for detail

- A willingness to learn. Caravan and marine work has its own tricks, and we’ll help you build on what you already know

- A reliable, positive attitude and the ability to work well in a small team

- Physical fitness for hands-on work with caravans, boats and trailers

Caravan, RV, 12V or marine experience will put you ahead. Boat and forklift licences are a bonus.

Why you’ll like working here

- Monday to Friday only, with no weekend work

- 9-day fortnight option for the right person

- Above-award pay that reflects your skills and experience

- A fully equipped workshop with plenty of variety in the work

- Fortnightly lunchtime BBQs and annual business-paid social events

- We close over Christmas so you can enjoy the break with family and friends

- A friendly, supportive team where your work is noticed
