Pilot Theory produces commercial-grade video for some of Australia’s largest infrastructure and energy organisations. We are looking for an experienced videographer and editor to shoot and cut those projects with us on a regular contract basis.
The role
- Type: Contract, ongoing and consistent work, not full-time
- Location: Perth based, with interstate travel
- Shoot rate: $600 to $700 per day
- Edit rate: Hourly or per project, depending on the deliverable
- Kit: Your own kit is preferred; Pilot Theory supplies the rest
What you’ll do
- Review scripts and project briefs, and help plan each shoot before the day
- Set up and run two-camera interview shoots, including lighting and audio
- Capture cinematic footage on infrastructure and energy sites, including drone footage
- Adapt to changing site conditions, talent and briefs on the day, and still deliver what the client needs
- Edit the projects you film, mostly 2 to 3 minute pieces, to the standard of a high-end production agency
- Represent Pilot Theory professionally with senior client stakeholders
What you’ll bring
- 3 to 5 years of commercial video production experience
- Confidence running multi-camera interview setups with lighting and sound on your own
- Robust editing in DaVinci Resolve, or Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
- A portfolio of commercial, corporate or industrial work at a high standard
- The ability to stay composed and solve problems quickly on location
- An ABN, and you work as an independent contractor
- A current driver’s licence and your own vehicle
- A CASA drone licence (RePL)
