About the role

Catcom is an AV, security and communications installation company delivering integrated technology systems for medium to large commercial construction projects. We're looking for an experienced Estimator / Project Manager to join our team and take ownership of projects from the tender desk through to successful delivery. You'll price and win work, then manage it on site, so you'll see the results of your own estimates and build lasting relationships with clients and head contractors.

Key responsibilities

- Review tender documents, drawings and specifications for AV, security and communications scopes

- Prepare accurate, competitive quotes and tenders, including material take-offs, labour allowances, subcontractor pricing and supplier quotes

- Identify risks, exclusions and clarifications early, and manage tender queries with builders and consultants

- Maintain strong supplier and subcontractor relationships to keep pricing current and competitive

- Manage awarded projects from handover of the tender through to commissioning and practical completion

- Develop project programs, procurement schedules and resource plans

- Coordinate with head contractors, other trades, consultants and our installation teams

- Manage budgets, variations, progress claims and reporting





- Ensure compliance with WHS requirements, quality standards and contract obligations

- Run site meetings, track RFIs and keep clients informed

About you

- Proven experience in estimating and/or project management within electrical, communications, security or AV systems

- Experience on medium to large commercial construction projects

- Ability to read and interpret electrical, communications and security drawings and specifications

- Strong commercial awareness, including contracts, variations, claims and cost control

- Solid organization, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Current driver's licence and a current white card (or willingness to obtain one)

- Trade background or technical qualifications in electrical, ICT, security or AV

- Knowledge of structured cabling, CCTV, access control, intercom, public address, or AV system design
