Casual Medical Receptionist | Busy, Family-Friendly GP Practice

The Role & Hours
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Casual Medical Receptionist to join our busy team. To be successful, you must offer versatile availability across a variety of weekdays and potentially Saturday mornings. Your hours will include closing the surgery on some evenings. While the surgery officially closes at 5:00 PM, you may be required to remain on the premises until up to 7:00 PM depending on doctor and patient needs.

Key Duties & Technical Requirements

- Patient Management: Managing front desk reception, patient check-ins, and scheduling using PracSoft / Medical Director Clinical (or similar Practice Management Software).
- Administration: Handling essential daily admin tasks,



including scanning, sending emails, photocopying, and saving documents to holding files.
- Daily Tech & Software: Demonstrating strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Basic Troubleshooting: Confidently handling minor troubleshooting for our sometimes temperamental printers and office scanners.

What You Bring

- Experience: Proven prior experience as a Medical Receptionist is essential.
- Tech-Savvy Skills: Strong general computer literacy and a high level of comfort adapting to digital workflows.
- Personality: A warm, empathetic phone and face-to-face manner, a collaborative team spirit, and a great sense of humour!
