Shape digital integration and interoperability across complex Land capability systems in a senior Defence ICT

Your new company
You’ll join a complex Defence capability environment focused on integrating current and future Land systems, platforms and networks. The broader function brings together systems engineering, integration, technical assurance, digital design and specialist advice to support interoperability across Land, Joint and coalition interfaces. This engagement sits within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team responsible for establishing consistent digital integration approaches across major capability programs and providing technical advice to Defence stakeholders.
Your new role
As the Digital Integration Subject Matter Expert, you’ll provide advanced ICT expertise supporting the integration of Land capabilities and networks. Your priority will be digital integration for a Land mobility and support program, while contributing across other Land programs as required.

- Develop a detailed understanding of complex system-of-systems environments and associated digital integration considerations.
- Identify, define, design and validate digital integration requirements for Land programs and projects.
- Provide written technical advice on digital integration across capability definition, design, test and evaluation and sustainment activities.
- Develop technical implementation designs, solution documentation and formal technical proposals.
- Advise senior stakeholders on proposed integration approaches, risks and recommendations.
- Lead stakeholder engagement forums and collaborate with multidisciplinary technical specialists.
- Contribute to system design baselines, integration knowledge and emerging technology initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed
You’ll bring substantial technical expertise within complex Defence ICT, systems integration or related environments,



combined with the ability to translate technical considerations into practical advice for senior stakeholders.

- Demonstrated relevant experience and/or tertiary qualifications in Science, Engineering or IT.
- Specialist experience in at least one relevant area, including networking, military C4 software, tactical data links, enterprise architecture, distributed systems, tactical or strategic networking, software systems, autonomous systems or fires systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Defence capability development and acquisition processes.
- Practical technical experience supporting the definition, design, integration, delivery, test and evaluation or sustainment of military capability.
- Robust stakeholder engagement skills across complex Defence environments.
- A minimum active NV1 security clearance at commencement and the ability to maintain it for the engagement.
- Highly desirable: Land capability experience, C4 systems expertise, cross-domain collaboration and knowledge of systems design, verification, validation, test and risk methodologies.

What you'll get in return

- This is a long-term contract working on complex digital integration challenges across Defence Land capability. The engagement is expected to run from November 2026 with two further 12-month extension options available at Defence’s discretion.
