About the role

Reporting to the Principal Geologist, you will take ownership of varied and technically challenging geological work across Tri-Star projects. From subsurface evaluation and opportunity screening to well planning and field execution, you will turn complex data into clear recommendations and help shape what comes next.

Key responsibilities

- Interpret and integrate geological and geophysical data, including well logs, core data, seismic surveys and field observations.
- Build regional and local geological maps, evaluate exploration targets, assess geological chance of success and calculate volumetrics.
- Develop technical proposals for exploration activities and clearly communicate geological risks and hazards.
- Work with engineering and other specialists on drilling plans, well evaluation strategies, target selection and field execution.
- Monitor well operations, identify coring and testing intervals, and support well completion reporting.
- Undertake technical due diligence and evaluate acquisitions,



farm-ins and other business development opportunities.
- Maintain technical databases, manage specialist consultants and budgets, and improve geological workflows.

About you
- Senior-level petroleum geology experience across conventional and unconventional plays.
- Strong capability in subsurface evaluation, well-log interpretation, correlation, mapping, volumetrics and geological risk assessment.
- Proficiency with Petrel and geological data-analysis tools.
- Experience supporting drilling, well operations and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to communicate clear, evidence-based recommendations.
- Strong organisation, attention to detail and written and verbal communication skills.
- A collaborative, adaptable and results-focused approach, with the ability to work autonomously.
