Graduate Sales Executive | Career Pathway into Business Development
Your new company
Finishing uni in December 2026? And ready to turn your degree into an actual career?
This is your chance to join a growing Australian business where you won’t just be another grad in the background. You’ll learn from an experienced team, get involved from day one and build the skills to take your career into sales and business development.
The vibe is collaborative, social and down-to-earth. People work hard, have a laugh, celebrate the wins and aren’t afraid to throw new ideas around. If you’re ambitious, switched on and keen to learn, there are plenty of opportunities to grow with the business.
Your new role
You won’t be expected to come in knowing everything from day one. This role is about learning the business, building your confidence and developing the skills to become a successful salesperson.Initially, you’ll be based in the office and given your own territory to look after. You’ll get to know the customers in your patch, understand what they need and start building genuine relationships with both existing and new customers.
A big part of the role will be picking up the phone. You’ll make outbound calls, follow-up opportunities and start developing your own network, so you'll need to be someone who is confident speaking to people and comfortable making calls in an open office environment.
You’ll also get exposure to the operational side of the business, including:
- Managing and developing customers within your own territory
- Calling existing and prospective customers
- Following up leads and identifying sales opportunities
- Building strong customer relationships
- Raising purchase orders and supporting invoicing
- Helping with general sales administration
- Learning the products, customers and wider industry
And this is where it gets exciting. The role is designed to grow with you.
As your knowledge and confidence develop,
the goal is for you to progress into a more external sales-focused position. You’ll get out on the road, meet customers face-to-face, build your own customer base and take greater ownership of driving sales within your territory.
What you'll need to succeed
You don't need years of sales experience. Attitude, confidence and willingness to learn are much more important.
We'd love to hear from you if you're:
- A recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in business, Psychology or related discipline
- Full working rights as an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Confident, outgoing and comfortable starting conversations with new people
- Happy picking up the phone and making outbound calls
- A strong written and verbal communicator
- Resilient and able to bounce back when you hear a "no"
- Proactive, curious and genuinely hungry to learn
- Keen to build a long-term career in sales
- Comfortable working in a busy, open office environment
- Coming from retail, hospitality, telemarketing or another customer-facing role would be a big plus
What you'll get in return
- $65,000–$75,000 + super, depending on experience
- A permanent, full-time role with genuine career progression
- Your own customer territory to start building relationships and commercial confidence
- Hands-on exposure to sales, customer management and the operational side of the business
- The prospect to develop from an office-based graduate role into field sales, getting out on the road and meeting customers
- A supportive, down-to-earth team where you can learn from experienced salespeople
- The chance to gradually build your own customer base and become a successful salesperson within the business
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, fully on-site
- A planned January/February start, making it ideal for someone finishing university and ready to kick-start their career
