An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an innovative, Australian-based technology business operating within a highly specialised and rapidly evolving market. The organisation develops advanced technology solutions across biometric identity, data capture and unmanned aerial systems, supporting both government and commercial customers. With a strong focus on innovation and continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join the business on an interim basis.

Your new role
Reporting into senior leadership, you will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function and provide hands-on financial leadership across the business.Your responsibilities will include:

- Overseeing month-end and financial reporting
- Managing budgeting, forecasting and cash flow
- Providing detailed financial analysis and commercial insights
- Balance sheet reconciliations and oversight of financial controls
- Managing statutory, tax and compliance requirements
- Supporting inventory and product costing where required
- Working closely with operational and senior stakeholders
- Driving improvements across finance processes, reporting and systems
- Supporting the wider business with ad hoc commercial and financial projects

What you'll need to succeed




You will be an experienced Financial Controller or senior finance qualified who can quickly step into a hands-on environment and add value from day one.You will ideally have:

- CA/CPA qualification or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or similar
- Strong technical accounting and month-end capability
- Experience within technology, manufacturing, product-based or similarly operational environments would be highly regarded
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management skills
- A commercial and pragmatic approach
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to work autonomously and confidently within a fast-paced business
- Availability to commence at short notice
