Metroplant & Civil Services is looking for an experienced Plant Operator / Truck Driver to join our civil construction and maintenance team.
Based in Highett, you'll work on projects across Melbourne. You must be confident operating foot-controlled skid steers and excavators, including final trim work , and hold a current HR licence as a minimum .
About the role
Operate foot-controlled skid steers and excavators safely and efficiently.
Carry out excavation, site preparation, material spreading, levelling and final trim work.
Work accurately to required levels, grades and falls.
Drive trucks to transport materials, equipment and spoil.
Safely load, unload and secure plant and equipment.
Complete daily pre-start checks and report faults or maintenance issues.
Assist with general site duties and labouring when required.
What you'll need
Current HR driver's licence or higher.
Excavator experience, including accurate final trim work.
Current White Card and relevant plant tickets or evidence of competency.
Confidence manoeuvring trucks and trailers around worksites.
Ability to work independently from day one and follow site instructions.
A reliable approach to attendance, safety and equipment care.
Willingness to get out of the cab and help the crew.
Experience in roadworks, concrete preparation, drainage and council maintenance will be highly regarded.
