We are working with an established financial services business based in North Sydney that is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Finance Manager to oversee its finance function.

This is a hands‑on position suited to an experienced Senior Finance Manager who is comfortable getting into the detail whilst managing a small finance team.

The role offers broad exposure across financial reporting, budgeting & forecasting, statutory and regulatory requirements, alongside the opportunity to improve existing finance processes.

The Responsibilities:

- Oversee the day-to-day finance function, including AP, AR and general ledger.
- Manage month-end close, reconciliations and management reporting.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes, providing analysis to support business decisions.
- Deliver financial performance analysis, including variance analysis, profitability reporting and financial modelling.
- Oversee cash flow, liquidity and financial controls.
- Lead and support a small finance team.
- Manage financial reporting across multiple entities and securitisation structures.
- Support statutory, tax and regulatory reporting, including ASIC and APRA requirements.
- Oversee annual financial statements and external audit.




- Provide technical accounting guidance and ensure reporting accuracy.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and controls.
- Partner with senior stakeholders, providing financial insights to support strategic and commercial decisions.

The Requirements:

- Strong technical accounting, financial control, reporting and FP&A; experience.
- Background within financial services is a must.
- Experience managing a small finance team.
- Comfortable being hands‑on with reconciliations, journals and month‑end reporting.
- Exposure to multi‑entity structures and regulatory reporting would be advantageous.
- Robust communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the finance function.
