Position Overview:The Construction Estimator is responsible for estimating materials and labor, making sure that the business operates within budget.
A successful candidate:
* Prepares and delivers estimates and cost plans for the construction of patios, pergolas, and other structures.
* Interprets plans, regulations,



and codes of practice to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
* Calculates project costs and estimates timeframes for completion of construction activities.
* Takes accurate measurements and collects on-site data to support project planning and estimation.
* Performs routine computations related to materials, labor, and project requirements.
* Inspects work and materials on-site to verify quality and adherence to specifications.
* Supervises and oversees trades workers in office, ensuring compliant demolition of old structures and proper installation of new ones.
* Ensures construction and renovation activities are carried out in a manner that keeps the project within the approved budget.
* May demonstrate installation and construction techniques on-site to reduce wastage of materials and hours of work.
Required

Qualifications:
Degree, Associate Degree or Diploma in Construction, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in estimation, preferably with a focus on patio or outdoor structures.
