We are seeking a Data Specialist / Data Scientist to help transform how maintenance strategy and asset management activities are delivered through data, automation and AI.

This role will work closely with engineering, maintenance and operational stakeholders to understand existing processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop practical, scalable solutions that reduce manual effort and improve decision-making.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving real business problems, has strong technical capability, and can bridge the gap between data, technology and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Partner with engineering and business stakeholders to understand maintenance and operational processes.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual and repetitive workflows.
- Develop data-driven applications, dashboards and tools to improve business efficiency.
- Build and optimise data solutions using Snowflake, SQL and Python.
- Leverage AI and GenAI technologies to streamline processes and enhance decision-making.
- Design and implement solutions involving AI agents, document extraction and intelligent automation.
- Develop scalable, maintainable solutions that can be adopted across multiple asset management functions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis and process optimisation.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

You are a hands-on problem solver with a passion for using data and technology to improve the way organisations work. You have experience delivering practical automation and analytics solutions and can confidently engage with stakeholders to understand their challenges and translate them into effective outcomes.

Essential Skills & Experience

- Strong experience with: SQL, Python, Snowflake.
- Demonstrated experience automating manual business processes.
- Experience developing solutions using: Power Platform, Power Apps, Power Automate,



Copilot Studio, Streamlit.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to understand and interpret engineering or operational processes.
- Experience delivering scalable data, analytics and automation solutions.

Desirable Experience

- Experience within: Maintenance, Asset Management, Mining, Resources, Energy, Utilities, Heavy Industry.
- Exposure to: Cortex, AI Agents, Generative AI solutions, Document processing and extraction technologies.
- Experience working with operational or engineering data.

Design, develop and maintain data integration pipelines/interfaces between CrewConnect and upstream/downstream systems.

Analyse existing data flows, mappings and dependencies and support interface enhancements.

Build and support reliable data ingestion, transformation and validation,



ensuring data quality and integrity.

Troubleshoot data/interface issues and perform root-cause analysis with application/product teams.

Translate crew/resource scheduling data requirements into scalable integration and data-engineering solutions.

The role works across Snowflake, DBT, AWS cloud services, Git-based DevOps pipelines, enterprise integrations, and reporting ecosystems supporting CrewConnect and broader People Domain initiatives.

Data solutions are deployed within cloud-native environments leveraging modern engineering practices, automation, and governance frameworks to support scalable enterprise data products.

- Advanced experience in SQL development and data modelling for enterprise-scale solutions.
- Strong experience designing and implementing data solutions using Snowflake.
- Proven experience with DBT for data transformation, testing, documentation, and deployment.
- Experience implementing and supporting Git-based DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of data governance principles, including data quality, metadata, lineage, stewardship, and access controls.
- Exposure to AWS services such as S3 and IAM.
- Experience designing scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
- Ability to analyse complex business requirements and translate them into maintainable data solutions.
- Solid problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve data quality, performance, and integration issues.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across business and technical teams.
- A qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or equivalent practical experience.
