This Store Manager role is PERFECT for the WINE SPECIALIST. If wine is your Jam then this career move is your bread & butter. WSET training and a strong wine knowledge coupled with retail management experience will see you highly desirable for this store!

- You’ll empower, inspire and develop your team to achieve goals and perform at their best, utilising business programs and your own initiative

- You’ll complete and delegate daily tasks across inventory management, housekeeping and team leadership with a specific focus on driving sales and achieving budgets

- You’ll be responsible for upholding service of alcohol guidelines
- You’ll inspire customers and your local community by tailoring your store's presentation and activities

About The Role: Be part of something bigger and lead our Southern Cross Salvos Store.

As Store Manager, you’ll play an important role in creating a welcoming space where customers, donors, volunteers, and team members feel connected and valued. Through inspiring leadership and a passion for community, you’ll help drive store success while raising vital funds that support Australians doing it tough.

Reporting to the Area Manager,



this permanent full‑time opportunity is based in Melbourne CBD, VIC, and offers the chance to combine your retail leadership skills with meaningful community impact, making a difference every day.

Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Retail General Industry Award, Level 6.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead store operations and achieve sales and surplus targets.
- Manage stock flow, pricing and visual merchandising according to Salvos Stores' standards and values.
- Inspire, train and develop a passionate team of employees and volunteers.
- Keep budgets on track and manage rosters and wage costs to keep the store running efficiently.
- Build strong community connections with local groups and partners.

About You:

- Strong proven customer service, interpersonal and communication skills (essential)
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to inspire and engage people.
- Ability to work to budgets and manage operational priorities.
- Experience using Workday HCM system (highly regarded).
- Alignment with The Salvation Army Mission and Values of integrity, respect, compassion, collaboration, and diversity.
