Zeus Street Greek Swanbourne is looking for an experienced Cook to join their expert team in Swanbourne WA 6010. This is a full-time role preparing and cooking a range of Greek dishes to a consistently high standard in a busy restaurant kitchen. Key Duties:
• Prepare, season, cook and portion Greek dishes from fresh ingredients, including grilled and slow-cooked meats, sauces, dips and salads, to the restaurant's recipes and quality standards.
• Prepare ingredients for menu items in advance of service, ensuring appropriate quantities, freshness and readiness for service.
• Safely and proficiently operate commercial kitchen equipment and utensils, including ovens, grills, sous vide equipment and knives, using appropriate cooking techniques.
• Coordinate the timing and cooking of multiple dishes to maintain efficient service during busy dine-in periods.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house team members to coordinate meal timing, maintain workflow and deliver meals promptly.
• Monitor food quality, portion consistency, cooking temperatures and presentation throughout preparation and service.
• Communicate food preparation requirements, stock shortages and operational issues promptly to managers and other kitchen staff.




• Demonstrate correct cooking methods to junior kitchen staff and apprentices where required.
• Follow food hygiene, protected food handling, cleaning and workplace safety requirements.
• Correctly label, store, refrigerate, freeze and preserve ingredients and prepared food in accordance with food safety requirements.

Requirements:
• A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, or an equivalent qualification, is desirable.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Cook, including proven experience in all listed duties.
• Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Strong skills in a range of cooking methods, including grilling, roasting, braising and baking, as well as preparing and portioning meats, sauces and marinades.
• Ability to work efficiently and calmly in a busy kitchen, both independently and as part of a team.
• Immediate availability preferred.

Conditions:
Full-time (38 hours/week)

Salary:
$75,000
- $85,000 + superannuation Suitable Australian citizens, permanent residents, or eligible visa holders are encouraged to apply.
