At Hindmarsh, our Construction Managers play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our projects, our people, and our client relationships. You'll be responsible for building high-performing teams, fostering strategic partnerships, and driving commercial and operational excellence across a diverse portfolio of projects throughout the ACT. With a robust pipeline of high-profile and challenging work, our projects span the commercial, industrial, education, health, government, and mixed-use sectors.

Working closely with the State Construction Manager and leadership team, you'll provide oversight and guidance to Project Managers and project teams, helping navigate complex challenges, drive project performance, and deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients and communities. Through your leadership and technical expertise, you'll help strengthen capability across the business and contribute to the continued growth and success of Hindmarsh.

Reporting to the State Construction Manager, you will be responsible for:

- Providing leadership and strategic oversight across multiple projects and project teams.
- Supporting and mentoring Project Managers to drive successful commercial, operational, and client outcomes.
- Driving performance across safety, quality, programme, commercial, and stakeholder objectives.
- Identifying and managing project risks, opportunities, and key delivery challenges across your portfolio.
- Providing guidance and support across procurement, design management, contract administration, financial management, and project delivery.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and industry stakeholders.
- Reviewing project performance,



budgets, forecasts, and reporting to ensure projects remain on track and aligned with business objectives.
- Contributing to work-winning activities, tenders, business development initiatives, and continuous improvement across the business.

We are looking for team members who have:
- Extensive experience delivering large-scale construction projects across a variety of sectors and project values.
- A proven track record leading Project Managers and high-performing project teams.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasts, risk, and project performance.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, legislation, and project delivery methodologies.
- Experience using construction management systems such as CHEOPS, Aconex, and related software platforms.
- A collaborative leadership style and a passion for mentoring and developing people.
