Educator - Part Time 4 days - OAC Armadale
I learn from what you say, but even more from what you show me.
You show me how to try again.
You show me how to be gentle, brave, curious and kind.
You help other grown-ups learn too, so my whole day feels steadier.
At Only About Children Armadale, your experience can shape more than one child's day.
We're looking for a warm, capable and professionally confident Educator.
About Our Armadale Campus
At Armadale, my day feels bright, calm and full of character. I arrive at a renovated church on Kooyong Road, close to trains, buses, parks, playgrounds and cafés. The building feels special, but still warm and safe for children like me.
I learn in six indoor rooms and play outside with sandpits, a wooden fort and slide, rocky riverbeds, mist for warm days and shady spaces. I can make friends, ask questions, explore and feel proud when I try something new. This is where character, calm and curiosity come together.
You're The Difference
At OAC, they say You're The Difference.
I think that means your experience helps my world feel protected, calm and ready for play. You notice small things, help me try harder things and help other educators feel confident too.
About The Role
I need experienced grown-ups who can guide children and support other educators.
In this role, you will help create high-quality care, strengthen the room and mentor less experienced team members through calm, thoughtful practice.
What You'll Do
- My learning becomes richer when you use observations and reflection to understand what I need next.
- My confidence grows when you build spaces where I feel curious, included and brave enough to try.
- My room feels safer when you model calm guidance, child safe practice and respectful communication.
- My educators grow when you share experience, mentor with care and show what thoughtful practice looks like.
- My family feels included when you build strong partnerships through clear and respectful communication.
- My room keeps improving when you contribute to reflection, QIP and continuous improvement.
What You'll Bring
- A Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
- Four years' post-qualification experience at Qualified Educator level.
- First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
- Strong understanding of the EYLF, NQF, child development and inclusive practice.
- Skills in planning, documentation, observation and reflection.
- Warm communication and the ability to mentor others.
- A Working with Children Check and relevant clearance.
What We Offer
- Your experience matters, and OAC recognises it through above award pay, worker retention payment and recognition programs.
- Your family matters too, with up to 50% childcare discount for eligible team members, paid parental leave and salary sacrifice options.
- Grow Curriculum support, professional development and expert-led learning help you keep bringing thoughtful practice into my room.
- Your pathway can grow towards Advanced Educator and leadership opportunities.
- Education assistance, qualification support and paid study leave may help you keep building your career.
- OAC Rewards, Wellbeing Days, TELUS Health EAP and wellbeing resources help you feel supported in and beyond work.
Child safety and inclusion I need to feel safe before I can learn, play and grow. At OAC, child safety comes first. There is zero tolerance for child abuse and harm. Everyone who joins the team must help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive place where children have a voice, feel safe, and are valued and respected.
You will need to complete all required working with children, background and compliance checks. OAC welcomes people from all backgrounds who share this commitment.
