ROLE OUTLINE This is a full time, fixed-term (1 year) position.

As an Education Assistant (Special Needs), you will support students with additional needs to engage fully in classroom life. You will assist with learning activities, provide personal care where required, and implement tailored strategies under teacher guidance.

Your role promotes inclusion, independence, and contributes to the faith life of the College.

Working closely with teachers, you will support students to access the curriculum, develop essential skills and achieve their personal learning goals. Your encouragement, guidance and practical assistance will contribute to their social, emotional, spiritual and academic growth.

Your Day Will Look Like





- Collaborating with teachers and the Learning Diversity team to deliver learning programs tailored to each student's Individual Education Plan (IEP)
- Providing one-on-one or small group support during classroom activities, ensuring students with additional needs can participate fully
- Supporting students using their educational and personal plans
- Adapting strategies to meet individual needs and ensure a positive experience
- Being a role model of the College’s values and actively supporting Catholic identity

Requirements for the Role
- Certificate IV in School Based Education Support or equivalent specialist training
- A current Working with Children registration
- To be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic education
- To be working towards or have completed the Accreditation to Teach in a Catholic School
