The team supplies, installs, services, and maintains advanced car, bus, and truck wash equipment, including Karcher wash systems, Motor City Wash Works tunnels, K9000 Dog Wash systems, and tailored wash chemicals. UWS supports the entire operational lifecycle with precision installation, preventative maintenance, and rapid breakdown response to reduce downtime and protect customer investments.

Role Description This is a full-time Electrician role based in Brisbane, QLD. The Electrician will perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical components in commercial wash systems, including car, bus, truck, and specialty wash equipment. Day-to-day tasks include wiring and connection of electrical systems, diagnosing electrical faults, troubleshooting control panels and circuits, and completing scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation.

The role involves responding to breakdowns, conducting safety checks and compliance inspections, reading and interpreting electrical diagrams,



and collaborating with technicians and service staff to support customer sites. The Electrician will also document work performed, maintain accurate service records, and communicate clearly with customers and internal teams regarding issues, solutions, and recommended improvements.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in electricity and practical electrical work, including safe handling of electrical systems and components.
- Hands-on experience with maintenance & repair of industrial or commercial equipment, preferably in automotive, transport, or wash systems environments.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical faults, diagnosing issues in control systems, and resolving breakdowns efficiently.
- Knowledge of electrical engineering principles relevant to installation, configuration, and optimization of automated wash equipment.
- Valid electrician trade qualification and electrical license appropriate for Queensland, with up-to-date knowledge of Australian electrical standards.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation, and to use electrical testing tools safely.
- Solid commitment to workplace health and safety, including adherence to lockout/tagout and risk control procedures.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently on-site and manage time across multiple jobs.
- Current driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer locations as required; prior experience in field service or mobile maintenance is an advantage.
