- Sydney CBD Land of the Gadigal people
CBRE is seeking a Facilities Manager to lead day-to-day facilities delivery within a Charter Hall commercial precinct in Sydney CBD. Rather than positioning this as another routine FM seat, the value is in being close to the operation, visible to stakeholders and trusted to keep your area safe, compliant and performing well. You'll manage the practical building agenda across maintenance, services, contractors, inspections, risk and reporting, while working alongside the Precinct Manager and a fellow Facilities Manager to keep standards consistent across the wider precinct. This will suit an established FM who likes being accountable for the detail, making sound calls and following issues through to resolution.
The Opportunity
- Lead day-to-day facilities management and operational performance across your allocated commercial building portfolio
- Manage planned and reactive maintenance, building services and service partner performance against agreed standards
- Oversee WHS, risk, statutory compliance and regular building inspections, keeping actions visible and followed through
- Build productive relationships with occupiers, Charter Hall stakeholders, contractors and internal CBRE teams
- Manage operational reporting, budgets and service delivery measures with accurate, timely information
- Contribute to precinct projects and improvement initiatives that create a more consistent operating approach
About You You're an experienced Facilities Manager or commercial building operator who enjoys being close to the assets and trusted to make things happen. You understand the balance between technical building performance, compliance, service delivery and the day-to-day experience of occupiers.
You Will Bring
- Experience in facilities management, commercial property operations, building services or a comparable environment
- Working knowledge of commercial building systems, plant, planned maintenance and essential services
- Experience managing contractors and service partners to agreed performance and compliance standards
- A practical understanding of WHS, risk management, statutory obligations and operational reporting
- Confidence building relationships with occupiers, client stakeholders, contractors and internal teams
- An organised, proactive approach with the judgement to prioritise competing operational demands
So, what's in it for you?
- A clear operational remit within a commercial precinct where your decisions are visible in daily building performance
- The balance of individual accountability and support from an established precinct team
- Direct exposure to Charter Hall stakeholders, occupiers and service partners in a commercial office setting
- A role that keeps you close to building operations while giving you scope to improve how work is delivered
- Access to CBRE's broader facilities and property management platform
