Program Manager – Civil & Utility Infrastructure | Canberra

Package: circa $240k + super + bonus | Location: Canberra, ACT (relocation support will be considered as required) Our client, a blue-chip utilities contractor, delivers civil and electrical works on the ACT’s energy network under a long-term contract. They need an experienced Program Manager to lead an ongoing program of capital and maintenance works.

The role

- Lead a team of five Project Managers across about a dozen concurrent projects, worth around $60m.
- Manage the upstream client contract and set the contract controls your PMs work to.
- Own program planning, resourcing, budgets, monthly forecasting, WIP, claims and EBIT performance.




- Report program performance to the client and act as their senior point of escalation.
- Manage risk around network reliability, delivery and resourcing.

About you

- A degree in civil or electrical engineering.
- A robust track record of delivering civil or utility infrastructure, including an ongoing program of works.
- Commercial strength in contracts, estimating, forecasting and cost control.
- A leader who can coach and develop a PM team and build trusted relationships with the client.
- Experience with SAP or similar systems is an advantage.

The role is based in Canberra. Candidates open to relocating from interstate are encouraged to apply.
