About the Position Our client is looking for a confident and experienced Locum Dental Hygienist to work approximately 2 days per week initially.
This opportunity is ideal for someone seeking flexibility, whether you're balancing other clinical commitments or simply prefer a shorter working week.
Available working arrangements:
- Tuesday and Wednesday (preferred)
- Tuesday and Thursday
- Wednesday and Thursday
The successful candidate will work independently without a dedicated Dental Assistant, making this position particularly suitable for an organised Hygienist comfortable managing their own clinical workflow.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing scaling, polishing and periodontal maintenance treatments
- Conducting oral health assessments and providing preventive care
- Delivering personalised oral hygiene advice and patient education
- Providing fluoride treatments where clinically appropriate
- Managing treatment room preparation,
sterilisation and turnaround
- Maintaining accurate clinical records and excellent infection control standards
Key Requirements
- Current AHPRA registration as a Dental Hygienist
- Previous experience working in a clinical dental workplace
- Confidence working independently without chairside assistance
- Excellent time-management and organisational skills
- Strong communication and patient-care abilities
- Availability for approximately 2 days per week
