Metal Casual Metal Fabricator & WelderFabricator / Welder

Weldkings is seeking a skilled and reliable Casual Metal Fabricator and Welder to assist with a variety of custom fabrication projects. This is a project-based casual role, with work available as projects come through, making it ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and a varied workload.

Key responsibilities

- Carry out MIG and/or TIG welding, depending on project requirements and demonstrated experience.
- Measure, cut, prepare and assemble metal components.
- Read and work from drawings, measurements and project specifications.
- Assist with custom metal fabrication and one-off projects.
- Operate workshop tools and equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean, organised and secure work environment.
- Work independently or alongside the team to complete jobs to the required standard.
- Check measurements, fit-up and completed welds against project specifications, addressing defects before handover.
- Complete agreed tasks within project timeframes and promptly flag issues that could affect quality or delivery.




- Report safety hazards, equipment faults and material shortages to the workshop supervisor promptly.

- Previous experience in metal fabrication and welding.
- Competent with workshop tools, equipment and metal preparation.
- Able to interpret technical drawings and measurements.
- Reliable, practical and attentive to detail.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Committed to safe work practices and quality workmanship.
- Flexible and available to work on a casual, project-by-project basis.
- Takes responsibility for their work and responds positively to feedback.
- Professional and respectful when working with colleagues, clients and suppliers.
