Hiring: Wireless Network Site Survey Engineer – Onsite | Wacol, Australia ??

We are looking for an experienced Wireless Network Engineer / Wi-Fi Site Survey Engineer for an onsite wireless network assessment at a warehouse facility in Wacol, Queensland, Australia.

Scope of Work:

- Conduct an onsite Wi-Fi coverage and wireless network assessment.
- Evaluate indoor coverage and outdoor areas where required.
- Assess Wi-Fi performance for data, voice, and video applications.
- Survey connectivity for laptops, smartphones, tablets, barcode scanners, and EDA devices.
- Assess existing Cisco access points and Wi-Fi technologies, including 802.11n and 802.11ac, with consideration for future 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) support.
- Evaluate four SSIDs: FactoryWireless, OfficeWNET, InternetWiFi, and GuestWNET.




- Assess 802.1X authentication and wireless security requirements.
- Validate coverage and performance for approximately 100–200 devices.
- Pay particular attention to FactoryWireless, which is business-critical and supports operational technology (OT) devices.
- Provide survey findings, coverage observations, and recommendations for wireless network improvements.

Candidate Requirements:

- Experience in wireless network engineering and Wi-Fi site surveys.
- Solid knowledge of Cisco wireless access points and enterprise Wi-Fi networks.
- Experience with Ekahau, AirMagnet, or similar wireless survey tools is preferred.
- Knowledge of 802.1X authentication and wireless security.
- Understanding of Wi-Fi standards 802.11n/ac/ax.
- Experience conducting surveys in warehouses, industrial facilities, or large indoor environments is an advantage.
- Ability to work onsite in Wacol, Queensland.
