About The Role

Bjak is looking for an iOS Engineer to build and improve the native iOS experience for its AI Finance Agent. In this role, you will create mobile features that help customers navigate financial products and services through clear, dependable experiences. You will contribute across the product lifecycle, from shaping early ideas and implementing features to supporting releases and improving the app based on customer feedback.

This position suits an engineer who values clean user flows, solid performance, and reliable execution. You should care about the complete customer experience—not only the screens you build—and be comfortable making thoughtful decisions when requirements are evolving. The role is remote, and applicants must already be based in Australia. English is the primary working language across Bjak’s global teams,



so strong English communication skills are required.

Qualifications

Candidates should have strong experience building native iOS applications with Swift and a record of shipping products used by real customers. You should understand SwiftUI and UIKit, asynchronous programming with async/await, and common iOS architecture patterns. Experience integrating APIs, authentication, and secure data handling is important, particularly when working with financial information and workflows.

You will bring sound product judgment and the ability to turn customer and business needs into practical mobile experiences. We value engineers who can investigate production issues, improve performance and reliability, and pay attention to loading states, edge cases, responsiveness, and release quality. You should be comfortable working in a fast-moving environment, collaborating across disciplines, and explaining your individual contribution to products or systems you have helped build, ship, or scale.

Responsibilities

You will build, test, and ship native iOS features across onboarding, accounts, cards, payments, transfers, rewards, and AI-assisted customer journeys. You will help simplify complex financial processes, making them intuitive and effective on mobile devices. Working closely with product, design, backend, and AI engineers,



you will take concepts from early discussion through implementation and production release.

You will also help maintain app quality by monitoring performance, crash rates, loading behavior, edge cases, and release stability. You will integrate services and APIs, support secure handling of customer data, and troubleshoot issues that affect the reliability of financial workflows. After launch, you will use customer feedback, analytics, and observed behavior to identify improvements and refine features.
