Aurelia Legal is seeking a full-time Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join our growing migration law practice in Mt Waverley. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and an interest in Australian migration law, who would like to gain hands-on experience supporting lawyers in the preparation of visa applications and legal documents.
About the role
You will work closely with our legal team to assist with the preparation and organisation of migration matters, including:
- Assisting with the preparation of visa applications, supporting documents, and migration-related submissions
- Drafting correspondence and legal documents under supervision
- Assisting with the preparation of migration reports and labour market testing advertisements
- Conducting basic legal and policy research using Legendcom and other migration resources
- Assisting with file management and administrative tasks
- Preparing invoices and tracking payments
- Scheduling and coordinating consultations with clients
About you
We are looking for someone who:
- Has excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Has strong written communication skills
- Can manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Has an interest in migration and administrative law
- Previous experience in migration law is highly regarded
- Experience using Smokeball practice management software is highly regarded
