As the People Operations Lead, you will own the day-to-day operational delivery of ELMO’s People & Culture function.



Based in Sydney and reporting to the Head of P&C; Business Partnering & People Operations, you will establish and continuously improve a service-oriented operating model that makes it easier for employees, leaders and P&C; colleagues to access reliable, responsive support. You will lead HR Operations service delivery across workflows, service standards, hand-offs, escalations and Tier 0 to Tier 2 support.

You will oversee service channels and tools including BLOOM, Ask Poppy, Jira and other P&C; platforms, while using service data to identify recurring issues, improve responsiveness and reduce manual effort.

A key part of the role will be maintaining high-quality people data and HR systems, as well as designing, documenting and governing end-to-end P&C; processes. You will strengthen operating procedures, controls, quality assurance and reporting across critical people processes, including remuneration, employee movements, documentation, exits and internal secondments.

You will also deliver initiatives across automation, AI, workflow design, self-service, reporting and employee and leader experience. Working closely with P&C; leaders, Business Partners, Technology, Product and the Philippines-based HR Operations team, you will translate operational insight into scalable improvements and help ensure that ELMO’s people practices are accurate, accessible, efficient and fit for growth.

Skills and Experience:

Experience and Operational Leadership

- Experience leading HR Operations, People Operations, HRIS, shared services, service delivery or a comparable operational function.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end people processes and the employee and leader experience across the employee lifecycle.




- Experience coaching or coordinating an operations team, including across locations or time zones.
- Experience establishing service standards, operating rhythms, controls, measures and quality assurance practices.

Systems, Process and Data

- Demonstrated experience administering or improving HR systems and maintaining high-quality people data.
- Strong capability in process design, workflow improvement, documentation and continuous improvement.
- Experience developing process maps, standard operating procedures, roles, hand-offs, controls and performance measures.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to convert operational data into practical insight and action.
- Experience, or demonstrable emerging capability, in designing and implementing AI-enabled workflows.
- Experience with HR technology platforms, HR data, HR processes and workflow tools is desirable.
- Experience designing or operating Tier 0 self-service and Tier 1/Tier 2 support models is desirable.

Stakeholder Partnership and Ways of Working

- Strong stakeholder-management skills and the ability to work effectively with senior P&C; leaders, business leaders, Technology and Product teams.
- High attention to detail, sound judgement and a prevention-focused approach to operational risk.
- A practical, structured, customer-focused and improvement-oriented approach.
- Ability to balance responsive service delivery with the discipline to identify and resolve root causes.
- Experience working in a high-growth, technology-enabled or distributed organisation is desirable.
- Experience partnering with Product or Technology teams on customer-focused product initiatives is desirable.
