Job DescriptionThis is a remote position.Accounts Payable & ReceivableEnter supplier invoices and purchase ordersProcess supplier paymentsCreate and issue invoicesSend payment reminders and follow up outstanding accountsPrepare supplier payment schedules and ABA filesReconciliations & Financial ProcessingPerform bank reconciliationsReconcile balance sheet itemsReconcile inter-entity loansPerform operational reconciliationsInvestigate and resolve discrepancies and variancesPayroll & SuperannuationProcess payrollProcess superannuation paymentsPrepare superannuation summariesMonth-End & ReportingPrepare month-end accountsPrepare management reports and supporting worksheetsPrepare and review Profi t & Loss and Balance Sheet reportsAustralian CompliancePrepare Instalment Activity Statements and Business Activity Statements (BAS)Apply knowledge of Australian accounting and taxation conceptsWork with Australian taxation entities and processesClient & Team CommunicationCommunicate with clients to request and provide required informationWork collaboratively with the existing bookkeeping teamParticipate in regular team meetings and communicationPerform other duties or related tasks as assigned by the clientRequirementsPrevious accounting and/or bookkeeping experience, preferably with Australian taxation entities.Strong understanding of Australian accounting and taxation concepts and terminologyExperience with Xero and Xero TaxExperience with Australian BAS, GST and PAYGW requirements, or the ability to learn these.Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organisational skillsGood written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote team.Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Offi ce, particularly ExcelExperience with Adobe Acrobat Pro is desirable.Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for regular team communication and meetings.A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or a related field is preferred.Previous audit experience is desirable.
