Are you a highly organised logistics professional who thrives on keeping things moving, solving problems and managing the finer details of international freight?
We're partnering with a leading Australian luxury fashion brand with a growing international presence to find a hands-on Logistics Manager to oversee the movement of goods across its global supply chain.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys the operational and administrative side of logistics, from coordinating international shipments and managing freight partners to tracking deliveries, maintaining accurate records and ensuring products arrive where they need to be, on time.
Working closely with the Head of Operations & Logistics, you'll play an important role in keeping a fast-moving, internationally connected business running smoothly.
The Opportunity
This is a full-time, office-based position in Melbourne, suited to someone who is detail-oriented, commercially aware and confident managing multiple shipments, stakeholders and priorities.
You'll take ownership of day-to-day freight coordination and logistics administration while maintaining strong relationships with international freight providers and offshore logistics partners.
What You'll Be Doing
- International Freight Coordination: Manage inbound and outbound shipments across international markets, including freight bookings, shipping documentation, tracking and delivery updates.
- Freight Partner Management: Build and maintain relationships with international freight forwarders, offshore logistics providers, customs brokers and courier partners, ensuring agreed service levels are met.
- Shipment Tracking & Problem-Solving: Monitor shipments from dispatch through to delivery, proactively identifying delays, resolving issues and communicating updates to internal stakeholders.
- ERP & Inventory Management: Use ERP and inventory management systems to maintain accurate stock records, track movements and support reconciliation processes.
- Logistics Administration: Maintain shipping records, coordinate documentation, reconcile freight invoices and ensure accurate reporting of logistics costs.
- Import & Export Compliance: Coordinate customs documentation, duties, taxes and international shipping requirements.
- Cost & Performance Monitoring: Track freight expenditure, monitor partner performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with Production, Finance, Retail and Wholesale teams to ensure smooth movement of materials and finished goods.
What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who understands the complexities of international logistics and brings a strong combination of administrative capability, attention to detail and practical freight experience.
You'll ideally bring:
- Previous experience in logistics coordination, freight management or international shipping.
- Experience working with ERP systems is essential, alongside strong Excel skills and confidence managing inventory and logistics data.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating international freight, including shipment tracking, shipping documentation and managing delivery timelines.
- Experience working directly with freight forwarders, third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and international shipping partners.
- A sound understanding of import/export processes, customs documentation, Incoterms, duties and taxes.
- Strong administrative skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records, reconcile invoices and manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
- A high level of accuracy, accountability and ownership.
Experience within fashion, apparel, luxury goods or another product-based business would be highly regarded, but is not essential.
Why Consider This Chance?
This is an opportunity to join an established Australian fashion business operating across international markets, where logistics plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional customer experience.
You'll enjoy:
- Exposure to a global supply chain and international freight operations.
- A varied role combining logistics coordination, administration and external partner management.
- The opportunity to take ownership of processes and contribute to operational improvements.
- Close collaboration with experienced operational leadership and cross-functional teams.
- A dynamic, creative and product-driven business environment.
