Our client has an chance for a senior Real Estate lawyer to join their practice to provide additional support for both domestic and cross-border real estate transactions in Sydney

They are open to lawyers returning from overseas, moving back from in-house, returning from parental leave/extended personal leave or are, for whatever reason, open to a 9-12 month contract at this point in their life.

The Role

This role would suit an experienced real estate lawyer looking to work on high-quality matters within a collaborative team.

The real estate practice advises a broad range of domestic and global clients on significant property transactions and investments. Working within an internationally connected platform, the team combines strong Australian market knowledge with access to a global network of real estate specialists.

Key Responsibilities

- Advising on complex real estate acquisitions, disposals and capital transactions.
- Acting for domestic and international clients across a range of property investment and transactional matters.
- Managing transactions from due diligence and structuring through to negotiation, documentation and completion.




- Drafting and negotiating sale and purchase agreements, due diligence reports and associated transaction documents.
- Working closely with partners and colleagues across corporate, finance and other complementary practice areas.
- Supporting and mentoring junior lawyers.

About You

- You are a Senior lawyer with strong experience in real estate transactions.
- You have a demonstrated background in property acquisitions, disposals and capital transactions. Leasing exposure would be beneficial.
- You are commercially minded, technically strong and comfortable managing complex matters with an appropriate degree of autonomy.
- You enjoy working with sophisticated domestic and international clients.
- You are a safe pair of hands.
- You are collaborative, relationship-oriented and interested in contributing to a growing practice within an international firm.
