YMHIS aims to bridge the gap between Headspace and Local Health District (LHD) mental health services.
The team supports people presenting with moderate to severe mental health concerns/risk (e.g., Psychosis, complex trauma, emerging personality vulnerability, suicidality, deliberate self-harm, clinical anxiety and depression), promoting functional recovery, preventing unnecessary acute hospital presentations, and integrates care across systems.YMHIS is based with the Liverpool/Fairfield Early Psychosis Intervention Program (EPIP).

The position offers a unique opportunity to work collaboratively across community mental health services and partner agencies to support children, adolescents, and young adults, aged 12–25 and their families through early intervention, assessment, treatment and care coordination/navigation.Working within a highly supportive team environment, you will provide clinical leadership, contribute to service development, and help strengthen pathways between youth-focused services and specialist mental health care. This role combines direct clinical work with opportunities to influence system-wide improvements that enhance access, continuity of care and outcomes for young people experiencing mental ill-health.
We foster a culture of learning, innovation and collaboration, with ongoing professional development opportunities, clinical supervision, and support to further develop your expertise in child, adolescent, and young adults’ mental health and early psychosis intervention.
