Brisbane Airport
Brisbane
It is an exciting time to be joining Brisbane Airport, as we embark on a transformative journey, whereby more than $5 billion is being invested into the development of our infrastructure over the next five years. As result of this development, we expect to see up to 30,000 people working at the airport by the end of the decade.
This role is critical to ensuring that we have the necessary trunk utilities to enable the development, delivery and operation of aeronautical and commercial infrastructure across airport.
Who we are
Brisbane Airport Corporation is a proud, Queensland-based company that manages Brisbane Airport (BNE), an award-winning hub and a key gateway to Australia and the world. Together, we are building an airport that connects people, creates community and supports our economy for generations to come.
We are passionate about what we do, and we are excited to make a positive difference connecting our communities, businesses and people with the world. Our team is committed and driven, and it’s because of them that BNE is such a great airport.
About the role The Senior Utilities Planning Manager supports BAC's long-term trunk utility planning capability by translating network intelligence, growth projections, operational requirements and future demand into practical infrastructure strategies and investment-ready advice.
Key deliverables for this role include leading utility planning activities across technical workstreams, consultant partners, external utility providers and supporting documentation, while delivering robust, integrated and commercially informed recommendations that shape portfolio priorities,
support governance decision-making, enable project development and facilitate long-term airport growth.
About you
You will enjoy contributing to a high performing Trunk Utilities team that supports capital delivery priorities and BAC strategy.
You will be tertiary qualified in a relevant engineering discipline, with several years’ experience in utility network planning, demand forecasting, capacity analysis, infrastructure development or related infrastructure roles, preferably across power and/or hydraulic trunk infrastructure systems. This will include leading business planning, investment prioritisation, business case development and infrastructure funding submissions.
This role requires somebody who is strong on process, but who is equally as effective in the softer interpersonal skills. If you enjoy engaging with a variety of people both internally and externally and thrive in a dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities, we would love to hear from you, because that is a day in the life at Brisbane Airport.
Our proposition
Our culture is built on communication, collaboration, courage, and care — values we live by with our colleagues, stakeholders, partners and the community.
We recognise that our most important priority is keeping our people secure and that looking after their wellbeing and development gives them every opportunity to thrive.
We offer a range of benefits including:
- An exciting airport environment fostering opportunities to collaborate with dynamic business groups.
- Free parking at Domestic and International terminals anywhere, anytime for as long as you need.
- Generous leave types including 15 days personal leave, 3 well-being days, cultural and volunteer leave, and an extra leave day at Christmas—on us.
- Expansive employee wellbeing initiatives.
