We are seeking an experienced Sales and Marketing Manager to lead our sales and marketing activities, strengthen our industry relationships and support the continued development of our business. ABOUT THE ROLE Reporting to the Director, the Sales and Marketing Manager will lead the business’s sales and marketing planning for its mortgage broking and lending referral services.

The role will focus on market positioning, referral partnerships, lead-generation strategy, campaign budgets and performance reporting across home loans, refinancing, investment and commercial finance. The role is primarily strategic and managerial; mortgage brokers remain responsible for individual credit advice and loan applications. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and implement annual sales and marketing plans for VCHLG’s home loan, refinancing, investment property, commercial lending, bridging finance and asset finance services.

Set marketing priorities and sales-channel strategies for different customer groups, including first-home buyers, property investors, refinancers and small-business borrowers. Establish realistic lead-generation, referral and conversion targets; review results by lending service and recommend improvements to the Director.



Direct business development initiatives to build awareness of VCHLG’s mortgage broking and finance services in Melbourne and other markets served by the company.

Analyse housing and lending market trends, customer enquiry patterns, interest-rate developments and competing mortgage broker offerings to guide marketing decisions. Identify growth opportunities in residential lending, commercial property finance and asset finance by reviewing enquiry demand, referral sources and market gaps. Develop and manage referral partnerships with real estate agencies, buyer’s agents, accountants, conveyancers, property professionals and relevant business networks.

Plan and oversee website content, search and social advertising, educational campaigns and other promotional activities designed to generate qualified finance enquiries. Prepare and manage the annual sales and marketing budget, allocate spending across campaigns and referral initiatives, and assess cost per enquiry and return on expenditure. Monitor enquiry volumes, referral performance, lead quality and client acquisition trends using CRM and management reports; present recommendations to the Director.

Design client relationship and re-engagement campaigns for existing customers, such as refinancing information, rate-update communications and relevant lending-service awareness. Coordinate and guide employees or external service providers involved in marketing, lead management and business development; set deliverables and review performance. Review promotional materials and communications to ensure mortgage and finance service information is accurate, consistent with VCHLG’s brand and appropriately approved.

Work with the Director and mortgage brokers to align promotional priorities with available lending services, referral capacity and business growth objectives.



Oversee sales and marketing procedures, including referral-channel management, consent-based customer communications and review of advertising for applicable financial services and privacy requirements. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, Management or a related discipline.

At least three years of relevant professional experience in sales and marketing management; experience in banking, mortgage lending or financial services is preferred. Demonstrated ability to develop and manage sales plans, marketing campaigns, budgets and performance measures. Experience developing professional referral relationships and identifying new business opportunities.

Leadership, negotiation, communication, analytical and organisational skills. Knowledge of market research, CRM systems, reporting and digital marketing techniques.
