Reeyansh pty ltd Empire Hotel Bistro is seeking a qualified, motivated and passionate Cook to join our kitchen team in Cobar, NSW. Our busy and vibrant venue serves bistro-style meals and a full menu, with a focus on quality food and customer satisfaction. You will work alongside the Chef and other kitchen staff to prepare, cook and present meals consistently to our standards.

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, reliable and able to work efficiently in a busy commercial kitchen, with a strong commitment to food quality, hygiene and teamwork. Perks Great working conditions in a supportive team.

Competitive salary of $70,000-$80,000 per annum plus superannuation. Full-time, permanent employment. Opportunities to develop your cooking skills and grow within the business.

Task & responsibilities The duties you will be expected to complete in this position include, but are not limited to: Preparing ingredients, including washing, peeling, cutting and portioning vegetables, meat, poultry and seafood. Preparing and cooking dishes according to established recipes, menu requirements and kitchen standards.

Operating ovens, grills, fryers and other kitchen equipment safely, and regulating cooking temperatures as required. Checking ingredients for freshness and ensuring meals meet the required standards. Seasoning food during cooking, portioning meals and arranging food for service.

Storing food appropriately, labelling and dating items, and following stock rotation procedures.



Monitoring stock levels. Minimising food wastage through appropriate preparation.

Maintaining clean and hygienic work areas, utensils and equipment. Assisting kitchen assistants with routine food preparation and cleaning tasks as required. Qualification & experience Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent relevant qualification.

At least two years of relevant cooking experience in a commercial kitchen, preferably in a bistro, hotel or restaurant. Sound knowledge of cooking methods, food preparation and kitchen equipment. Understanding of food safety, hygiene, stock rotation and allergen management.

Positive communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team. Ability to maintain consistent food quality while working under pressure. Availability to work a roster that includes evenings, weekends and public holidays.
