About the Role There is an exciting opportunity for Animal Husbandry Technicians to join our Beef City Feedlots 4356, Riverina Feedlots 2703, Prime City Feedlots 2652, Mungindi Feedlots 2406, and Caroona Feedlots 2343 as a full-time capacity.
Reporting to the Feedlot manager, you will be supporting the feedlots with both breeding and raising tasks. The annual salary for this role is not less than $79,423.00 plus Superannuation. Your main tasks include but not limited to:
Diagnosis of animal health symptoms Administration of animal health treatments including accurate record Keeping Implementing and monitoring biosecurity, animal welfare and environmental management practices in accordance with JBS Australia policies and industry standards
Helping with breeding and raising cattle Testing pregnancy of the cattle Evaluating the feed formulae to help the manager with feeding programs to make sure the cattle have plenty of Nutrition
Maintaining and evaluating livestock production records, monitoring operational performance, and assisting with production planning and resource allocation Supervising and coordinating on breeding related tasks Maintaining compliance with JBS Australia Policies, including but not limited to: WHS, HR, QA, and Animal Welfare & Environmental Obligations
Collateing data for research and animal husbandry purposes About You
Bachelor's degree plus one year experience or more than 3 years of working experience in the same role Demonstrated ability to work well both independently and within a team environment Flexibility with working hours during busy periods
