Biome Innovation is an Australian biotechnology startup developing innovative gut microbiome testing solutions and AI-powered digital platforms. As we prepare for commercial expansion, we’re looking for a creative, enthusiastic and motivated individual with an interest in Digital Marketing & SEO to strengthen our online presence, improve website visibility and support our digital marketing activities.

Internship Details

- Position: Digital Marketing & SEO Intern
- Engagement: Volunteer internship opportunity (unpaid)
- Duration: 3 months
- Commitment: 2–3 days per week
- Work arrangement: Hybrid (remote and in-person)
- Location: Sydney, NSW
- Suitable for: Final-year university students with valid work rights in Australia, including Australian citizens and permanent residents.

Responsibilities

- Search Engine Optimisation (SEO): Assist with keyword research, on-page SEO, meta titles, meta descriptions, internal linking and website content optimisation.
- E-commerce Setup: Improve our online store, product pages, checkout experience, payment integration and customer journey.
- E-commerce Marketing: Support product page optimisation, online store visibility and customer engagement activities.
- Digital Marketing Strategy: Support the planning and implementation of digital marketing activities to increase brand awareness and reach target audiences.
- Content Creation: Assist with developing SEO-friendly website content, blog articles, social media posts and promotional materials.
- Social Media Management: Help plan, create, schedule and optimise content across relevant social media platforms.
- Digital Analytics & Reporting: Monitor website traffic, keyword performance and campaign engagement using relevant analytics tools.
- Marketing Campaigns:



Assist with digital campaigns, audience research and promotional activities to support product awareness and business growth.

Qualifications & Eligibility

- Final-year university students or recent graduates in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Business, Media, IT or a related field.
- A solid interest in SEO, digital marketing, content creation and social media management.
- Basic knowledge of SEO principles, keyword research and website optimisation is desirable.
- Familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, WordPress, Shopify or social media management platforms is an advantage.
- Good written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Creativity, initiative, problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a flexible startup environment.
- Previous experience, a portfolio, university projects or examples of digital marketing work are welcome but not essential.
