Applewood Residential Developments is the owner and operator of Applewood, an award-winning residential lifestyle community set on 25 acres of beautiful gardens in Doncaster.
We are seeking to appoint a full-time Gardener Supervisor to maintain our high standards of visual presentation. The position will be 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining all Village gardens and grounds by carrying out general gardening and groundskeeping activities. Specifically: weed control, mulching, planting, litter control, turf maintenance, and other general maintenance duties;
- Supporting the gardening team when the Head Gardener is unavailable;
- Ensuring resident garden maintenance requests are completed within agreed time frames;
- Applying fertilisers, fungicides, herbicides and insecticides within WH&S; regulatory requirements;
- Curating gardens to the defined standard;
- Trimming trees, cutting grass, watering plants and other gardening duties as defined; and
The successful candidate will possess the following skills & experience:
- A self-starter who can work independently
- A strong customer service orientation and the ability to interact effectively with an over-55 demographic
- Ability to work efficiently with other staff as part of a small team
- Ability to deal with questions and complaints efficiently and effectively whilst maintaining good customer relations
- Physical fitness and preparedness for hard work
- A driver's license and current police check (can be obtained prior to commencement) are mandatory requirements for this position.
