Latrobe Valley Enterprises (LVE) is seeking a proactive and results-driven Commercial Manager to identify new business opportunities, secure contracts, strengthen customer relationships and grow revenue across our diverse business portfolio.

About the role

Reporting to the General Manager Operations, you will lead business development, sales, tendering, account management and marketing initiatives to support LVE’s continued commercial growth.

Working collaboratively with our operational and corporate teams, you will identify opportunities, build strategic partnerships and convert leads into sustainable business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

Identify and secure current business opportunities, customers, contracts and strategic partnerships.

Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline and deliver agreed revenue and business development targets.

Identify tender opportunities and coordinate proposals, quotations and commercial submissions.

Work with Operations and Finance on pricing, commercial viability and profitability.

Build and maintain strong customer relationships, manage key accounts and identify opportunities for repeat and additional business.

Promote LVE’s products, services and capabilities to commercial customers, major contractors and other stakeholders.

Oversee marketing campaigns, brand development, social media, digital content and e-commerce activities.

Monitor commercial performance, sales forecasts and key performance indicators, reporting progress and opportunities to management.

About you

You enjoy identifying opportunities, building networks and turning customer needs into sustainable business.

You will bring:

Demonstrated experience in business development, sales, commercial management or strategic account management.

A track record of developing customer relationships and converting opportunities into business outcomes.

Experience with tenders, proposals, commercial negotiations or contract development.

Strong commercial judgement, analytical skills and an understanding of pricing and profitability.

Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.

The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and collaborate across teams.

Confidence using business systems and digital marketing or e-commerce platforms.

A qualification in Business, Commerce, Marketing or a related discipline is desirable but not essential. Relevant experience and commercial capability are highly valued.

Fully maintained vehicle as part of the remuneration package.
