Royce Hotel is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Room Attendants & Public Area Attendants to join our housekeeping team in Melbourne. This is a casual position that offers flexibility whilst maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. As a Room Attendant and Public Area Attendant, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and pristine workplace for our guests, directly contributing to their experience and our reputation for excellence in hospitality.
What you'll be doing
Cleaning and servicing guest rooms including bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas to meet Royce Hotel's quality standards
Changing bed linens, towels efficiently.
Maintaining public areas including lobbies, corridors, lifts and guest facilities to the highest cleanliness standards
Restocking supplies such as toiletries, towels and amenities in guest rooms and public spaces
Reporting maintenance issues, damage or safety concerns to management immediately
Responding to guest requests and special requirements with professionalism and courtesy
Operating cleaning equipment and using cleaning products safely and responsibly
Keeping detailed records of room status and completion of assigned tasks
What we're looking for
Proven experience in housekeeping, hospitality or a similar customer-facing environment
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
Physical capability to perform cleaning duties including standing for extended periods, lifting and bending
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Good communication skills and willingness to take direction
Reliability and punctuality, particularly important for casual shift work
Working rights in Australia and willingness to undergo relevant background checks
