To provide safe, respectful, and person-centred support to an 11-year-old participant with Autism Spectrum Disorder (Level 2). The support worker will assist with daily activities, social development, and community participation while promoting independence, routine, and emotional wellbeing.

Key Duties

- Provide one-on-one support in the home and community
- Assist with daily routines and structured activities
- Support social skills development and positive behaviour strategies
- Encourage participation in community, recreational, and learning activities
- Use clear, calm, and consistent communication
- Support emotional regulation and maintain a secure environment
- Follow care plans, behaviour support strategies, and family guidance
- Assist with transport to activities or appointments if required
- Complete progress notes and timesheets accurately

Skills & Qualities

- Patient, calm, and understanding
- Experience or knowledge of autism support (preferred)
- Ability to follow routines and provide structure
- Strong communication and observation skills
- Reliable and respectful with children and families
