We're looking for an experienced Part-Time Veterinary Receptionist to join our friendly, down-to-earth team in a permanent part-time role (minimum 30 hours per week).

About the Clinic

Greencross Tuggeranong has recently undergone a full renovation, creating a light, bright, up-to-date clinic that's a pleasure to work in.

Our clinic is led by a long-standing Practice Manager who has been part of the team for over 20 years, helping create the supportive, welcoming culture we're known for today. Stability, teamwork, and exceptional client care are at the centre of everything we do.

You'll be joining a busy and well-established clinic currently home to:

- 4 Veterinarians (2 full-time and 2 part-time)
- A fantastic nursing team of up to 9 nurses
- A supportive leadership team
- Loyal clients who value the care and service we provide

Best of all, there are no after-hours or weekend requirements, with after-hours care supported by our partnership with ARH Canberra.

About the Role

As our Veterinary Receptionist, you'll play a vital role in supporting both our clients and clinical team.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Welcoming clients and patients into the clinic
- Managing appointment bookings and scheduling
- Answering and directing phone calls
- Responding to client emails and enquiries
- Taking payments and processing accounts
- Organising patient admission and discharge paperwork
- Banking and administrative duties
- Maintaining accurate patient records
- Assisting with patient triage (full training provided)
- Providing general advice regarding vaccination schedules, nutrition, and parasite prevention
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the clinic
- Delivering exceptional customer service during both happy and challenging moments

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with people, thrives in a quick-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering outstanding client care.

Availability Requirements

This is a permanent part-time position with a minimum of 30 hours per week.

To support the needs of the clinic, the successful candidate must be available to work the following rostered shifts:

- Monday: 8:00am - 6:00pm
- Tuesday: 8:00am - 6:00pm
- Friday: 8:00am - 6:00pm

These days and hours are non-negotiable, so we're specifically looking for someone who can commit to working this schedule on an ongoing basis.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

- Is seeking a permanent part-time opportunity
- Has previous reception, customer service, veterinary, medical, or allied health experience




- Is dependable, punctual, and highly reliable
- Has excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Enjoys building relationships with clients and their pets
- Is organised and highly detail-oriented
- Can manage competing priorities and busy periods with confidence
- Maintains accuracy while working efficiently
- Takes ownership and follows through on commitments
- Works collaboratively and contributes positively to team culture
- Brings warmth, empathy, and professionalism to every interaction

Experience with RxWorks is highly regarded but not essential.
