We are seeking to establish a pool of Gardeners - Handyperson for permanent and fixed term, part time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period. The Role

The Gardener - Handyperson is responsible for maintaining the school grounds in a safe and tidy condition, ensuring a conducive external learning environment for students and staff. This includes overseeing the upkeep of turf areas, garden beds, shrubs, trees, and various soft landscapes. Additionally,



the role involves maintaining hard landscaping features like courts and paving, marking sports areas, and conducting minor repairs in alignment with departmental policies. The Gardener - Handyperson is also tasked with keeping gardening facilities, equipment, tools, and machinery in a clean and serviceable condition, reporting faults promptly, and adhering to secure work practices. Collaborating with the Manager of Corporate Services, the role contributes to the development of safe work procedures and conducts risk assessments as needed. Compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) legislation and the management of hazardous substances are integral aspects of the role, including the maintenance of records in accordance with safety guidelines.
