Location: Sunshine, VIC. Most of the work right now is in Melbourne's west, with sites around Geelong too
Pay: $60 to $68 an hour + overtime straight to 2x + ute/van + fuel card
Start: ASAP, ideally before Christmas

Set Point Electrical is a Geelong-based industrial electrical contractor working across manufacturing, water treatment, food production, utilities and heavy industrial operations.

Most of our work is ongoing maintenance on plants we look after week in, week out, plus breakdowns, installations, controls and instrumentation. We're a small, growing team, supportive and committed to doing things properly.

You'll be paid properly for the skills you bring and responsibilities you can take on.

About the Role

A full-time, on-site industrial role, mostly in Sunshine and Melbourne's west at the moment, with work around Geelong as well. You will work on installations, maintenance, breakdowns, small projects and instrumentation/controls support.

Once you know a site, you'll be running it day to day yourself, with backup a phone call away.

This is a role for someone who enjoys technical work, problem-solving and doing clean, professional industrial jobs.

Key Responsibilities

- Industrial electrical installation, service and repairs

- Troubleshooting motors, VSDs, controls, sensors and switchboards

- Preventative and corrective maintenance

- Supporting instrumentation work (calibration, testing, verification)

- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics

- Completing documentation and communicating with clients

- Breakdown call outs after hours occasionally

- Working safely in industrial environments

What We're Looking For

Essential

- A-Grade Electrical licence (Victoria)

- Driver's licence

- Industrial experience or strong interest in transitioning into industrial work

- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability

- Experience with control wiring and motor circuits

- Solid understanding of electrical safety and compliance

- Pride in workmanship and clear communication

Bonus (Not Essential)

- EWP tickets

- High risk licences

- Experience with PLCs, automation or instrumentation

- Industrial site experience (water, food, manufacturing, utilities, etc.)
