Forrestfield initially, then Bruce Rock, WA | Full time

Transbeam Industries, a division of Bruce Rock Engineering, is seeking an experienced Heavy Press Brake Operator to join our team at our newly built facility in Bruce Rock, Western Australia.

This is an exciting opportunity to operate our brand-new, state-of-the-art 2,500-tonne press brake – the largest in Australia!

You will initially be based at our Forrestfield facility for training and familiarisation before transitioning to our Bruce Rock facility, where the role will be permanently based. A Drive-In, Drive-Out (DIDO) arrangement from Perth is available, with accommodation and meals provided while working in Bruce Rock.

About the Role

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Setting up and operating the CNC press brake machine to produce components to specification.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and determining the correct approach to pressing components.
- Ensuring production targets and deadlines are met while maintaining quality standards.
- Inspecting finished products and identifying damaged or substandard components.
- Performing routine machine checks and troubleshooting to support efficient operation.
- Handling materials safely, including operating an overhead crane where required.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work area.
- Following company policies, procedures and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Participating in toolbox talks, training and safety initiatives.




- Working collaboratively with the production team to keep work flowing efficiently.
- Undertaking other duties as required to support production.

About You

You're a experienced, reliable operator with a good eye for detail and a commitment to producing quality work. You take safety seriously, work well with others and enjoy being part of a team where your contribution makes a difference.

Essential

- Experience operating HEAVY press brake machinery.
- Ability to program the machine.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Good numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to quality, safety and following procedures.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Current Australian driver's licence.
- Physical ability to perform the requirements of the role.
- Experience in a manufacturing or steel processing workplace.
- Current forklift licence.
- Overhead crane operating experience.

Desirable

- Plate Rolling experience
