This is a unique opportunity to combine strategic planning with hands-on event delivery on one of the world's largest sporting events. As the tournament approaches, you will provide leadership across multiple venues, driving consistency in planning, operational readiness, issue management and logistics delivery. You will build strong relationships with key stakeholders, oversee supplier performance, support workforce planning and deployment, and proactively manage operational risks and challenges. During tournament operations, you will deploy as the Venue Logistics Manager at a principal venue while continuing to support the successful delivery of the broader venue cluster, helping create a world-class experience for teams, officials, workforce, media, broadcast partners and fans.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Develop and coordinate venue-specific logistics plans, including FF&E; bump-in and bump-out activities, delivery schedules, access routes and venue readiness requirements.
- Manage venue storage solutions, shared logistics resources and operational support requests to ensure venues are equipped and prepared for successful event delivery.
- Lead, coach and support Venue Logistics Managers (VLMs), driving a consistent approach to planning, issue resolution,
operational readiness and logistics delivery across all assigned venues.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, deployment and operational management of venue-based logistics crews in partnership with the appointed third-party logistics provider (3PL).
- Act as the primary liaison for FF&E; suppliers, venue operators and key stakeholders, monitoring performance against contractual obligations, service levels, milestones and operational deliverables.
- Monitor operational performance, identify and mitigate risks, and lead escalations and issue resolution activities, while serving as the Venue Logistics Manager for an assigned principal venue during tournament operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience in venue operations, logistics, event operations or other large-scale service delivery environments, ideally within major events, sport, venues, stadia or supply chain operations - advantageous.
- Strong planning, organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to coordinate complex operational plans, manage venue readiness activities and balance multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, venue operators, contractors, volunteers, partners and cross-functional teams to achieve successful outcomes.
- Previous people leadership experience, with the ability to lead, motivate and develop both paid staff and volunteer workforces in dynamic operational environments.
- Strong problem-solving, risk management and decision-making skills, with the confidence to manage operational challenges and deliver results in fast-paced, high-pressure settings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage a broad range of stakeholders and provide clear operational updates, reporting and guidance.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, combined with flexibility to work irregular hours, travel between venues and support tournament operations as required.
- Flexibility to travel between host cities and venues as required, and willingness to work outside standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, to support activities and tournament delivery.
