In this role you will:

- Drive the strategic direction of treasury, banking and insurance functions across a, NSW State Gov Department
- You will lead the development and implementation of robust frameworks, tools and policies while also providing expert leadership and guidance on complex financial matters.
- Aim to minimise of financial risk and lead innovation within these functions to support the long-term strategic outcomes.

You will be accountable for:

- The design and implementation of comprehensive treasury, banking and insurance frameworks and policies.
- Evaluate at Enterprise level the adequacy and effectiveness of the insurance coverage ensuring compliance with NSW Treasury guidelines and legislation.
- Relationship manages strategic high-value relationships with external banking and insurance partners.
- Perform complex reporting for the financial stakeholders.




- Cultivate robust qualified working relationships with all team members, senior leadership, peers, and external stakeholders, driving cross-functional collaboration and supporting the effective delivery of strategic financial outcomes.
- Drive enhanced governance and advisory functions across Treasury and Insurance, leading the development and implementation of frameworks that strengthen and uplift existing practices.
- Act as a thought leader, remaining abreast of current and emerging planning issues and trends, including domestic and international best practice, innovative approaches, and opportunities.

- Improving processes including reducing duplication, increasing standardisation, leveraging technology solutions, fostering, and sharing innovation and increasing functional synergy.
- Operating within a highly complex and large Transport portfolio comprising several entities.
- Building and maintaining professional and productive relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and parties.
