Josephine Agostino Hair is seeking a passionate and dedicated Apprentice Hairdresser to join our talented team in Haberfield, NSW. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to launch your career in the hair and beauty industry under the mentorship of experienced professionals. As an apprentice, you will develop foundational skills in hairdressing whilst working in a supportive salon environment, gaining hands-on experience in cutting, styling, colouring and treating hair. This role is essential to your development as a hairdresser and will provide you with the professional expertise and industry knowledge needed to succeed in this creative field.
Key responsibilities
1. Assisting senior hairdressers with client services including hair washing, conditioning and basic styling
2. Learning and practising hair cutting techniques under supervision to develop technical skills
3. Assisting with hair colouring and treatment applications whilst following safety protocols
4. Maintaining a clean, hygienic and organised salon workspace
5. Greeting clients warmly and providing exceptional customer service
6. Sterilising and maintaining salon tools and equipment to the highest standards
7. Supporting the salon team with administrative tasks such as booking appointments and managing client records
8. Attending training sessions and theory-based education as part of your apprenticeship qualification
9. Building client relationships and learning about product knowledge relevant to hair care
What we're looking for

5. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
6. A willingness to learn,
adapt and take on feedback from experienced mentors
7. Previous salon experience is essential or current enrolment in a recognised hairdressing apprenticeship program
8. Flexibility to work salon hours, which include Saturday’s and late nights
