About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive, experienced and motivated Accountant with a minimum of 2 years' experience in Australian public practice.

This position will initially be offered on a part time basis, with the opportunity to transition towards full-time for the right candidate.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is confident, organised and able to hit the ground running. We are looking for someone who can join the team, quickly understand our systems and processes, and get involved with client work from day one.

You will work directly with the Director, providing you with the opportunity to gain valuable practical knowledge, experience and mentoring across taxation, accounting, business advisory and client management.

Key Responsibilities:

· Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts,



and partnerships

· BAS/IAS preparation and lodgment

· Liaising with the ATO and other regulatory bodies

· Supporting clients with general tax and accounting queries

· Client bookkeeping & payroll

· Office administration functions

· Working directly with the partner

· Use accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, BGL360 & Ignition

About You:

· Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Australian public practice firm

· Degree qualified in Accounting

· Completion, working towards or looking to start their CA/CPA course (highly regarded but not essential)

· Strong attention to detail and time management skills

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Highly organised with attention to detail

· A team player with a robust work ethic
