About Pile Group

Pile Group is an established Victorian piling business delivering end-to-end foundation solutions across residential, commercial and civil construction projects.

With our own state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Carrum Downs and experienced installation teams, we manufacture, supply and install steel screw piles throughout Victoria.

About the Role

You'll work alongside our experienced piling operators, assisting with the installation of steel screw piles and general site operations.

This is a hands-on, physically active role involving machinery, equipment, site preparation and installation work.

As you develop your skills and experience, you'll have the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities, including operating machinery, coordinating site activities and eventually assisting in leading a piling crew.

Working arrangements:

- Casual employment with opportunities for regular ongoing work

- Predominantly Monday to Friday

- Occasional Saturday work when required

- Some regional projects requiring overnight stays away from home

- Work across Melbourne and regional Victoria

What You'll Be Doing

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Assisting operators with the installation of steel screw piles

- Preparing and setting up equipment on construction sites





- Handling and positioning steel piles and installation equipment

- Assisting with pile set-out and site measurements

- Cutting steel piles using grinders and other equipment

- Assisting with excavation, drilling and general site preparation

- Loading and unloading machinery, tools and materials

- Maintaining tools, equipment and machinery

- Completing basic site documentation and installation records

- Keeping work areas clean, organised and safe

- Working closely with operators and other crew members to complete jobs efficiently

As your experience grows, you'll receive training in more advanced piling operations and site responsibilities.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is practical, reliable and willing to work hard.

Essential requirements:

- Current Construction Industry White Card

- Current driver's licence

- Previous experience in construction, civil works, earthmoving or a similar hands-on industry

- Physically fit and comfortable undertaking manual labour

- Willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions

- Ability to follow instructions and work safely

- Availability for occasional Saturday and regional work

Highly regarded but not essential:

- Excavator or other machinery operating experience

- Heavy Rigid (HR) truck licence

- Experience reading construction plans or engineering drawings

- Previous piling or foundation construction experience

- Working With Children Check

Training & Career Progression

You'll work alongside experienced piling operators and receive practical training in:

- Steel screw pile installation

- Operating specialised piling equipment

- Excavator operation and machinery handling

- Reading engineering drawings and understanding site levels

- Pile set-out and installation procedures

- Site safety, quality control and documentation

- Planning and coordinating site activities

- Developing leadership and crew management skills
